Burra designed both set and costumes for The Miracle in the Gorbals. The one-act ballet was a Christian allegory set in the slums in the Gorbals of Glasgow, adapted and choreographed by Robert Helpmann from the play The Passing of the Third Floor by Michael Benthall.
